Changing gears
OK, saw a thread on transmissions, which reminded me about a little problem I am having.
Hard to change gears. Seems to get stuck sometimes when I am trying to put in forward or reverse. If I am in forward and try to go to reverse, sometimes I have to inch it forward so that I can get it into reverse, and vise versa.
Any ideas what the deal is?

First thing I would check is your idle, if it's too high that can make it difficult to shift.

Now that I think about it, I think I've axed this before. Damn, I'm getting old. Can't remember shit!
I assume there is an easy accessable idle screw?

Yep pull the engine cover off, driver's side of the carb on top is a big thumb screw you can adjust by hand... get it up to operating temp and then turn it down slowly from there. Super easy
