Amplifiers
To those of you running amps on your rhino, do any of you run non marine amps??? If so, where are you mounting them, and any issues leaving the rhino out when it rains???

No I used an old Sony Xplod I had laying around. It's not water proof. I mounted it under the extra battery. I don't do to much riding in the rain/water so we will see how it holds up.

I was thinking of that exact same spot, or mounting it on the inside of the under the dash.

i have the metal locking center consloe, and i put and old alpine amp in the bottom compartment, keeps it pretty dust free and waterproof in there, but your limited on amp size, I have 4X75 mounted in there.

I wouldn't mount it on the underside of the dash. It's on the 'wrong' side of the firewall and more likely to get debris and water from the tires kicked on it. After a mild ride, my outter firewall is always filthy. We mount under the seat and have had great success there. DEEP standing water is the only issue.
also, there is really no advantage to a marine amp. A marine amp has an anti corrosive coating on the board to stop salt air corrision. Great if you live in Pismo or ocean climates, useless for 99% of everyonelse. you still can get it wet or it'll short. Marine woofers don't do much either. Marine speakers have some value in a wakebaord boat but we haven't even had the need for those in 3years with our systems.

Trevor, thanks for the response, you hit on the exact concern that I have. I am thinking I will go for under the seat it it will fit.
Bryan, I already looked there and I dont think the amp will fit...
