Lately I've been seeing a LOT more 'Golf Cart' types on the road here in town

What has caught my eye is Ma and Pa type driving around in these things that somehow got a lic. plate

Somehow these unsafe / no D.O.T. tires / no occupant saftey cage
are getting Lic. plates

But try to Lic. a Rhino :: O God No !!!!!

Tons by my house.
All are electric.
Not one gas-powered one.
That's the sticking point for CARB/AQMD

I am having a 6 seat limo cart built right now.... Street Legal with plates. It is electric. But the guy had a gas one there that was street legal too. He said registering the gas ones is not a problem.

Same here... I understand that to make it street legal you must live within 1 mile from a golf course. I really pissed off that my Teryx and Rhino is safer then that SMART CAR.

Oh well.

Um, not to be the rain in everyones parade...but I think besides the emmisions control all on-highway vehicles must have bumpers designed to withstand 5mph impacts...after talking to Tim @ SDR motorsports about it..he said you could easily get the testing certified...but it would probably cost you around the same as if going to a dealership and asking for 20 Rhino's =/

I'd still love to see it happen though!
