BLM Establishes Commendation/Complaint Line

BLM Establishes Commendation/Complaint Line

Kynan Barrios, Chief Rnager for the El Centro Resource Area has established a Commendation/Complaint Line.

This mailbox will be checked on a regular basis by me or a supervisor. If you have anyone request a telephone number to reach me or a BLM law enforcement supervisor for this purpose, please have them call 760-337-4471.

The line's greeting is:

If this is an emergency, hang up and then place a call to emergency services by dialing 911.

Hello, this is Bureau of Land Management Chief Ranger Kynan Barrios of the El Centro Field Office. If you have a comment, compliment, constructive criticism or a complaint about the Law Enforcement Program or an employee, I want to know about it. Please provide your name, telephone number and a brief description of the commendation or complaint. You may remain anonymous and all information is treated as confidential. I am committed to ensuring a high quality of life and safety by partnering with our community to maintain trust and to preserve life and property. A supervisor will respond to your message as soon as possible.

The funny thing is once most of the duners are compliant in regards to flags, not riding double green stickers. The cops will find something new to work us over the barrel. Like the Az offroad sticker compliance then they will start heavily enforcing decibel levels so we dont disturb sleeping Lizards. Oh and spark arrestor violations since the Dunes are a National Forrest and smoky the bear doesnt want any wild fires..

2nd place is the first loser!!

Were a whole lot faster than you think you are.

Wow, is Glamis really that tough of a spot to hang out at? I mean do you have to be worring about all this stupid shit everytime you visit? It would be really hard for a newb like me to go out there not knowing much of anything and getting ticktes left and right for tiny details....

the cops will tell you that ignorance of the law is no excuse. And yes it does kind of suck there now with all of the overzealous cops running around with a chip on there shoulder. Oh I forgot this was the. Year of heavy enforcement of parking passes and the sticker violations. They pulled our guys over constantly claiming they didn't see the stickers when they were in plain view. Just total police harassment.

Well I understand the ignorance issue, I mean I wouldn't go without knowing the rules at least but the harassment and just totally stupid excuses to pulling someone over is what would get to me
