mixture screw

does anyone know if there is a air/fuel mixture screw on a stock 660 carb.
missing under full throttle. maybe water in fuel?

yes there is... its on the bottom of your carb and you have to drill out a brass cap to get to it. doubt adjusting this would fix your problem.

when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

im at work as well... ill do it as soon as i get home. i have the stock carb sitting on my work bench so it will be an easy thing to post a picture up.

pilot screw is for idle to just off idle. WFO has nothing to do with it. Main jet, dirty filter, (air or fuel). crap in carb, etc... may be the culprit.

we did not get to that part yet. he wanted to know where the mix screw was. LOL


now to that part.

have you done any changes to exhaust or intake? did it just start popping at WFO recently?

If no changes, then Eric is correct, change fuel filter, and if no change then take carb off and clean everything. IF still pops, you might need a larger main jet.

here's a picture of the bottom side of the stock carb. the fuel screw is all the way to the left, you have to drill out a brass plug to get to it. like eric said its only from idle to about 1/4 throttle, so adjusting this screw prolly wont fix your problem.
