CVT belts

hey everyone, got some questions 4 everyone with an 2008 700cc rhino. A group of us went on a ride to state line from our place, its 225 miles, 2 of the rhinos melted there air ducts on the exit side of the CVT belt. We don't understand why they got so hot,so if anyone can help please write back. Thanks!!!!!!

that was your problem. Ditch the filters. They get clogged and then the CVT gets hot as hell and then BAM!!!!! Filter shreads and you are getting towed back to where the hell your going.......Same thing happened to me after about 175 miles in Baja. The filter actually prevents airflow and is a bad idea. Hence the reason they come stock with open air intakes.

Ditch the filters and service your clutch every season or so. Service more often if your into the mudding thing.

Joey.....I cant agree with you on that.......The heat that melted the exit tube had to have come from exhaust heat from the exted long run. The CVT does not create enough heat to melt plastic....
