Sorry, I'm not the mechanic in the family, so can't help you with your axle install, but do welcome you to Rhinotalk from Johnson Valley.

How do I get the wheel side CV off the axle. The Diff side has a C Clip but I can't find anything retaining the other side......asking before I beat it with a hammer!

Got it off and am attempting to install on the new axle. There is that hidden C clip....do I replace with one that is smaller to get the carrier axle back on the new axle? If I reuse the c clip that was on the stock axle it binds and I can't get the carrier axle over it?"??????? HELPPPPPPPPPP>>>>>>THX

use a small tie-rap, put around c clip and snug it up to close c clip. (best to due when holding axle in vice) align cv and give it a wack. remember to cut off tie rap.
