what to do to a rhino??

Hi, I am new to this and i was wondering how much it would cost to build a rhino for racing and what would need to be done to the rhino. The rhino is a 2006 660.

I am a motorcycle racer who has seen the light so i have decided to wrap my self with a steel cage.

thanks

3 times as much as you think it will. Sell yours and buy a used one for cheap with most if not all of the kinks worked out.

i live in Santa Clarita, California. I might go with buying a used one instead of building mine. I want to race my rhino in the limited utv class in the lucas oil off road series.

yeah dont waste money building a rhino- if your going to build it build a teryx.

or buy a used rhino done-it will save you about 10-15k!!!.

Jacob is selling his rhino with two motors-760 and 800cc- for 15k. his is the green cage and silver plastic rhino that races the loors series.

Cant we all get along? lol

for Limited class, the above will not work unfortunatley, but this is a very good race car. he is right behind me in points.

Why Limited class??? a budget thing????

Limited UTV: Limited class utilizing stock unmodified UTV frame and bolt on aftermarket parts. This class will compete for a prize package & merchandise presented by Dragonfire racing.

M. Limited UTV: Stock chassis may not be cut or altered. Material may be added to chassis for
strengthening only.
E. Limited UTV: The minimum vehicle weight is 1300 pounds including driver.
C. Limited UTV: If shock mounting points are moved, they must be bolted on.
D. Limited UTV: Engine displacement must remain stock.

IF I were you I would get a RZR-S and have a LOORRS legal cage made and safety stuff done by a race fab shop that knows UTV specs.

you will need weld on spec cage, seats, fire rated belt, driver side safety net, hard mounted Aluminum doors, hard mounted alum roof, front and rear bumpers.

this setup would be fast and reliable.
