wing man

I have 2005 rhino and would like to add radio, under seat storage, and hid lights, do i need an alternator ?

no, you can get a aftermarket battery and it will handle the extra load, if you do much more electrical add ons and then think about the alt, they are trick and work well.

what kind of radio just some tunes or a full blown system with subs amps ect? how do you plan on using the radio? once in a while or leaving it cranking for hours at a time.
hid what size how many are you thinking, replacing the stock bulbs and upgrading to hid is a huge difference then if you want more 2 checkers 4" or 7" is a great combo.
try and sit down and think what the awnsers are, do you use it alot, i have alot of eletrical gear in mine lol running 8 hids, race radios, gps, efi ect..
the first thing i did was replace the stock battery with a gel cell 100% better than added a blue top optima under the hood, i do not have an alt. i use a battery tender on it once in a while when camping if i do long night runs to top it off for the next day.

if you do want one so you never have an issue- Jimmy at BYC motorsports has them the cheapest- give him a call
