Another new guy....

Hello folks, I'm not really new to the site, been lurking about for a year or so. I've finally decided to ask a question or two and it sounds as though you people are the ones to get an informed answer from.
We have two Rhinos, an 05 and an 06. Time to step up and get some more power. The 06 has a turbo specialties kit with a few mods and runs pretty good. I'm going the NA route with mine and already have a Wiseco 11-1 piston, Gibson exh and I believe a Black Rhino ign box. Was wondering what a good cam and clutch mods would be to go with these?
Most of our riding is at Glamis with occasional desert use. Not really interested in top speed but would like good acceleration and midrange pull (gotta be able to climb hills, big hills!). Any advice would be a big help.

Thanks,
Fast Fred

Welcome I guess kinda, lol

I dont know about the engine upgrades all that much. best upgrades i did was a 686 with Ron woods exhaust and intake by the pro shop, paddles, duner kit with new sheeve, that made my Rhino go just about anywhere and faster than most out there.

if you want to keep the turbo one running, get that turbo specialtties crap off it as quick as possible, If you haven't damaged your motor yet, it's coming,I guarantee it.

as far as the other one goes, get a bronco clutch, unleashedutv and brminc are practically giving them away. A woods pipe will give you more power then that gibson. Lighten the cars as much as possible and get as light as possible rims and paddles/smoothies

We also have a 686 done by the PROSHOP (with long travel) and climb fairly big hills!

any mods done to the motor will be for notinh with the gibson. I know, I was one of the first to have one and did everything to it you could and no power gains.

ROn woods is the best for 660's period.

wiseco would not be my choice either, go with a CP piston with the DLC pin upgrade, you won't regret it.

modified sheave from Unleashed UTV, start with 14g rollers and an orange secondary spring.

Call Chris at Benchmark performance for cams and such for your motor. he also carries clutch items you may need.

Thanks for the info. I'll call Benchmark tomorrow. He sounds like the go to guy for lots of stuff.
The turbo Rhino has already killed the first piston (stock) before we could get the tuneup right. Runs really bitchen when the mixture is right (with my wideband O2).Main problem seems to be the stock carb. Rich/lean can't seem to get it dialed in right so its probably going in the shitcan. FI comes next. Will let you know how it all works out.
In the meantime...thanks for the help and we'll see you @ Glamis. Hopefully the first weekend after Halloween.
