I just became a memeber and need some advice. This is my first rhino i came from racing quads so i have some back ground, but my rhino i bought has 2 small problems 1 is when you frst take off at and time of the day or night it makes a squelch noises i replaced ALL the parts in the clutch weight keepers and the star thing the belt look new i took it top a shop they said the belt was good. The person i bought it from said the clutch and the spring was done? Second is once in a while it will back fire when i been climbing the dunes? Sorry so much but hope some one can help Thanks

That squelch noise is def a belt slipping. You can't mistake that... Although I have never heard a wet clutch slip real bad. Maybe someone that has can chime in on the noise it would make if any at all. Also, make sure your sheeve halves are clean and free of oils and not glazed over. I always take 300 grit to them, and clean with a degreaser before I place belt back on.

Backfiring is your jetting, or possibly a cracked header pipe close to the exhaust port of the head. Where are you located? Maybe someone can point you in the right direction of a good Rhino repair shop if you decide to go that route.
