Smile Massive Transmission failure in New Zealand !

Hi From NZ ! My 660 Rhino middle gear blew when being ridden up a steep track . It made crunchy-crunchy $2000 noises ! woe ! When it let go it tore a section mount off the inside off the crankcase. New crankcases required - major meltdown. So, I bought a new Rhino 700 and will fix the other one. Rhino's are too good to let go , they Rock ! I hope to make many contacts within the forum, feel free to contact me with any comments. Cheers , Tony

check with benchmark performance, they have billet replacement parts for your 660.

yup, the upgraded billett MDG support from benchmark will help with that issue, along with the upgraded through shaft that is weaker in the 700 over the 660.

some 700 and 660 parts do not interchange.

Rhino 700

Hi, I have owned & really enjoyed my rhino since June 2009, and have covered about 2000kms on some very steep, dusty or muddy and wet country. This Xmas break spent two weeks in Eastern Taranaki and had two problems. The first was that on each side of the floor where the driver's and passenger's feet are, pieces of loose manuka came right throuch the plastic leaving major holes. It meant some very muddy trips after that. The other problem was overheating during a long 97km dusty trip. Even though I keep the radiators as clean as possible with gentle hosing, they still seem to get very clogged with mud & dust. Has anyone else had this problem?
