Hello from chrisrhino08

Dear All,

Hello at all.

I come to present me.
A french passionate of the 4 wheels drive and now, specialy of the Rhino.

I'm living in east north-east of France.

With this forum, I hope find some answers for my questions because my rhino 700 is 2008 and I bought it in used vehicule.
I don't know very well all qualities but I aleady find some défects.
In particulary the rear drive shaft coudly and lot of difficult to change the gear when the oil is Hot.

Please, do you know these two problems? for the first, I ordered a new in YAMAHA France but he will come from USA.
For the 2nd point, do you know where is the problem: oil cold ==> it's almost perfect, oil hot, the gears are locked very hard.

Thank you for your help

If you purchase a new Yamaha Rhino it will in fact come from the USA since the US is where they are built.

As for your gear shifting issues, that sounds like either the clutch sheave is worn or you are trying to shift gears while the rhino is still moving which is very bad on the transmission. Another thing to check is the shift linkage it may be out of adjustment so that after the rhino gets warm it becomes difficult to shift when the parts start expanding from the heat.

If you goto this link SXS411.COM - #1 SXS/UTV Informational Forum there are to bold type links to the Yamaha Rhino 700 manual, its for a 2008 Rhino but even the new rhinos are the same including the 2011 models and by the looks of it the 2012 models will be the same also. If you subscribe to the rhino411 site you'll be able to chat with people over there too same idea as rhino talk just different site and I think some people here are members over there too just like myself.

Hope this helps.
Bill
