Pulling engine "??Drive Lines"

Pulling the destroyed engine for a neighbor who doesn't have much cash. My question is how do you remove the drive lines? Ready to pull except for the drive lines. Other suggestions welcome. THX. John

loosen the diffs so you can side them away from the motor and then pull them out

Thanks

Thanks WV, I figured that was the case and appreciate your reply. I was just on a lazy streak yesterday. I am sure the crank and rod are toast and the piston has some scuffing. Any leads on a engine rebuilder or where we can do an exchange. Someone else pulled the top end on this one and I'm not crazy about doing it myself. Besides it is really cold in Idaho and in my garage this time of year. john

you only need to pull the front diff and let drop down and forward. the rear shaft will come out when you lift up the motor and move forward. take note of the plastic and piece and spring in the rear drive shaft.

when you put back together make sure you clock the u-joints on the front drive shaft or it may vibrate some.

you would have to ship, but Benchmark performance in Ramona, Ca. is a very reputable builder 760-484-0986 for Chris.

Thanks for the tip, plan on finishing this in a couple of days and will be looking for a rebuilder for him.
