Race I would love to see happen!!!!!!

The So Cal 100

Every time I'm on the 91 freeway sitting in traffic I look over at the Santa Ana River and think it would be great to start off in San Bernardino mountains and race Or fun run in the river bed for 110-120 miles and finish at huge beach party on sands of Newport.

Another one of my random thoughts I thought I would subject you too.

I knew a guy we simple called the old man. he died this last year at the age of 84. My friend Davie introduced me to him about 5 years ago when we rode Beaumont with him. He grew up with Mickey Thompson and a few other legends that I dont recall right now. He rode Baja before we were born. He told me stories of Riding from Proudoe Dam sp? to HB and back almost every day when he was growing up. i dont remember all the details now, It didnt seem as important then, as it does now that he is gone? Davie and I still talk about him often. I will try to get more details and fill in the blanks.

That's crazy I've never heard of anybody actually doing it. If you tried now on a dirtbike or Rhino you would probably have the ghetto bird and SWAT chasing you. Prado Dam is Corona So it Could about 25 miles each way? that would still be fun. He probably did it before Angel Stadium was even there. I'd like to hear more about it

i will get detail this weekend and post back up, hit me back so this post pops in my e-mail to remind me to fill in some of the blanks. Seeing that guy wipe out at 70 something and get back up and kick that bike over was inspiring to say the least.
