DO A 720 WELLER ITS ONLY A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE DOLLARS THAN A 686 AND VERY RELIABLE WE CAN HAVE IT PICKED UP BY A FREIGHT TRUCK SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DRIVE ANYWHERE JUST PULL THE MOTOR OUT FREIGHT TO OUR SHOP IS 160.00 EACH WAY IT TAKES 2 WEEKS ON THE MOTOR BUILD DIFF PLATE,CAM PINS,HEAD STUDS ALL THE GOODIES

No need to haul the whole vehicle to the west coast. Just send the engine, or buy the parts and do it locally.
A 686 with the right parts will really wake that thing up. You already have the best exhaust so that is a good start.
PM or call me if you want a recommendation on how to best build your motor for your budget.

from everything ive been reading the 686 looks like the way to go. seems very reliable and will give me a few more hp. if anybody has any more thoughts on these and other motors let me know all suggestions are appreciated.

I can attest to longevity, over 1500 miles and 8 short course races, opened up for inspection and nothing wrong beside some minor cyl wear, put back together and ran on dyno yesterday. 34 pulls at 8800- 9K rpms and netted 67.6 hp to the wheels. still had all stock bottom end except for a MDG support.

Chris gets it done and reliable. 760-484-0986

Alright when are we gonna hear a little more about this motor? Curious about pistion, valve and the carb. I'm sure it's got the FCR 41 on it...think I need to invest in one of those.
