How Would You Run The Site?

Since we are just getting started and quite frankly have members here thus far due to the efforts of the BooyaaCrew folks, I wanted to take an opportunity to ask all of you how you feel that this site should be run. While I suppose technically I own the site, all of you are the important part. Without all of you, it would not be too much fun posting back and forth to myself

There are obviously sites out there that you like the way they are run as well as dislike the way they are run.

I am interested in hearing what everyone has to say in regards to both the good and the bad.

If you wish to discuss your ideas in private, you are free to send me a PM or use the "Contact The Staff" forum.

P.S. Yes we know...change the name

I say anything goes! Fights and all! No one under 18 allowed!

Obviously with SXS/Rhinos being the main topic for discussion!

Ok, so everything goes, and over 18.

Now restricting to access to people under 18 may be a tad of a problem, however, that does not mean that I cannot create something that restricts those under 18 from viewing specific areas.

If we were to attempt to make the entire site 18 or older, then no one would be able to see anything without logging on...know what I mean.

Appreciate the response

I like the idea of free speech, Obviously. Don't want to restrict to 18 and over, although not to many people under 18 who can afford a rhino. I f you have to charge vendors for ads, only charge enough to cover the costs of keeping the site up, shouldn't be a huge profit in it, that's where the problems start.
you should be allowed to support any vendors in your sig wheather they are a paid sponsor or not. Unless it's the chino salesman and I"ll have to take him down.

Well said!

As for friends being admins? You have to go with who you trust! Friends can run a site but they have to be on the same page from the beginning!

I personnaly dont mind the fights that go on! They make for some good reading and usuall dont last that long anyways!

I think its good to be able to support your favorite shops in your signature! It forces vendor to give the Customer Service the customer deserves!

Ok I do need to ask this, should I make a specific area for "mature" content? Then those who are interested in seeing it can specific join a member group that would have access?

I bring this up as some people may have access to the site while at work, and well, you know what could happen if someone is looking over their shoulder.

I think the site should be run like we do our Rhino's, WFO. Let it flow for a while and see how it developes. Add restrictions as needed. As far as advertising, I agree with Max Powers, try to keep it inexpensive, but advertisers should be held to rules and boundries. Good manners, ethics and respect for other vendors.
