But I can not beleive that anybody would give someone that much cash in advance. That is just crazy. Buyer Beware. I would never give anyone a deposit that large. They could of put it in an escrow account. I dont want to say the deserve it but hopefully they learned a valuable lesson. I guess I am cautious.
its pretty standard to give 20k or more down on a pricey sand car, my buddy had a guy rip him off for his 35k down payment, the guy BK'd and he couldnt do shit...

dont buy my video. it sucks anyway!!!!

Well I can tell you this...... If it takes giving someone $25k in advanced to build a sand car.... I will never have one. I bought my old sand car used.

I would find me a different builder..... If it is a must then you put the money into an escrow account. Then neither party is at risk. Thats just smart.

People need to be smart when they do transactions of this nature.

I also would not leave my stuff at someones shop if it was not insured.

Off the record.... They should of said the sand car was stolen from thier house. Then their homeowners insurance might of covered it.

The guy who didn't actually have a car yet would still be out of luck but your right. I don't know how someone could fork over that kind of money without seeing/touching, It would be one thing to buy a car that exists but need a few mods but to have nothing from the start? I'd pass!
