yea this is nick.

hell no they didnt find it.

Peoria PD told me they have a 6-8% recovery rate on stolen trucks and I would be better off to find it myself.

what a joke.

Maybe at the end of the year. Just got off the phone with Gieco and I asked how long before they claim it as non recovered for a payoff and she freaking told me 60-90 days! She did say don't quote her. Anyone know if that is true for Gieco?

Yea got a new 08. Same color. Last month I purchased 10 carfax reports while I was shopping for a car for my daughter. Well, I found a car and still had like 7 carfax reports left so did one on my old truck. Turns out it was re-registered in Tucson the first of December with a salvaged title as a commerical vehicle. Sounds like someone took it out and thrashed it then somebody bought it from a junk yard after the insurance totaled it and registered it as a work truck. I ended up getting paid about 60 days in. I left the middle of Oct for a cruise and the check was in the mail. Got back a week later and still nothing. Called and they played stupid and drug it out another couple weeks. They ended up doing me alright though. Worked with me for all my add ons even though I did not have additional coverage for the lift wheels and tires. Overall I am happy with Gieco.

it always sucks when your rig gets ripped.
I understand why the insurance companies drag their feet though, they want to give the LEO's a chance to recover - regardless of how worthless that is. They will not LOOK for your rig, they will only recover it if they happen to trip over the thing.

sounds like it all worked out in the end and you got a new rig - sucks though.

I guess if my rig gets jacked, I don't want it back....send me the check.
