Need new trailer batteries

So went up to Winnemucca and had a hard time with my batterys. Put it this way I was cold from like 5am-8am because the damn heater set on 65 drained the batterys. Checked the water levels and they are fine, got home and happened to just want to take them out of their trays and boy was I pissed!!!! They were manufactured august and October of 06!!! My trailer was manufactured 1/14/08 and bought in February of 08 so those batterys were sitting for a year and a half!!! Thinking of some optima's but $160 bucks a battery is steep, I might end up doing the sams club 6v batterys. What do you guys run?

I found the hot ticket it looks like. Just have to find the battery trays like these to make it work.

Ditto... I run this set up and they are the shit. 3 days on all electric including a stereo with a 720 watt amp and my genny fires right up at the end of the 3 days every time. I recently added a Honda EU2000i that I run to keep the hours off my on-board Onan and it charges the Trojans while running and is silent (just can't run the AC). This setup is tits. Just did a week in G and came home with batteries at 100% capacity and it only took like 2 gallons of gas before leaving to run the Honda to get them all charged back up in time for storage, plus zero added hours to the Onan and saved fuel. Trojans are the best RV batts but I hear good things about the Costco 6v's too for the price/warranty. Either way the 6v's will always trump the 12v's in amp hours when ran in series.
