Ft. Mcdowell Results

They changed the track up a little since last time and I thought it was a fun track. Lots of Carnage as usual. It wasn't our day though. 3 or 4 laps in the car started handling horribly and could not get any top speed. I threw my co-driver out to try to help. LOL Sorry Bro! My pit crew called me in and told me I had a flat. They changed that out for me. That solved the speed problem, but half a lap later I had to shut it down as there was a horrible grinding from the front end and no control. After a year on stock spindles I finally put my HCR's on last Thursday. The bearings were completly trashed. All that was left was the outer races and the stub shaft was flopping around in the hole. I managed to take out the axle stub as well as broke the brake rotor. Ended up removing the brake caliper and zip tie it out of the way and nursing enough laps out of it to get 7th out of 8 cars and salvage a few more pts and keep my no DNF season in tacked

Congratulations to all the winners. There were some fast UTVs out there today. I believe Bobby ruled the track today and got first in Baja Pro. Normally I post pics of the results, but completly forgot to bring the camera to the track this trip. Maybe someone else got pics and can post them up. Here are a couplte I can remember. Please correct me if I have them wrong.

Baja Pro
1. Bobby Vanbeekum
2. Ray Aycox

Pro Mod

2. Jason Weller
3. Branden Sims

Sport Mod

Other than the bearing issue I have to say the LSR, Alba Action Sports, PDM sponsored Rhino ran well. After taking first at Snowflake, going to the dunes and 8 laps at Ft. Mcdowell on the same belt I could not be happier with the PDM clutch.

I would also like to thank FST for doing some tuning on my shocks as well as hooking me up with a dual brake setup for the rear. The last two races at Ft. Mcdowell I have overheated the rear brakes in the first 2 laps. Not an issue this race.
Also like to thank my pit crew, co-driver, wife and friends for the support. I really appreciate it guys.

Sorry you had those technical difficulties, but I'm glad you were able to solve some of the other issues. I can't believe the stock spindles lasted so long Your rhino is getting fine tuned for the next race...thanks for the excellent update!

Jimmy castelli is pro mod and He told me he was running two or so minutes of van beekum and pretty much was just rippin. Im glad to see him get a 1st place finish. my brother built that car for him and they finally are getting it dialed in.

2nd place is the first loser!!

Were a whole lot faster than you think you are.
