Next Pismo trip 9/12-9/14

I see the Glamis guys are planning a trip out there again on the Sept. 12 weekend. I was talking to some of my friends and we are tenatively planning a trip to Pismo that weekend too. (bonus full moon - I didn't even think of that).

Anybody else planning on going that weekend?

All my local friends are on for that weekend, so we'll be there.

So, my rig is a 2WD ford dually. Am I gonna get stuck down there? I've tried to sell it and buy me a new F250 (I don't need the dually anymore) but the last deal I tried working, the dealer only offered me $8900 for it! I called him names and walked off...

As soon as you venture off the wet sand you will get stuck. Air down and bring a tow strap, you will definitely need it. There are plenty of people willing to pull you out......its part of the experience IMO.

Last thing I am is cocky... Don't you remember?! I'm hung like a light switch.

It's a 2WD Dually. I know i have a little more flotation out back, but I still have very narrow tires up front.

what are you towing? I've seen 4x4 dually's buried down to the frame, but they were towing 40' 5ers.

but its pretty much a foregone conclusion that you will get stuck in a full size truck w/o 4x4.

I have friends that go with us.....

I drive their truck and trailer in for them. They have an F150 that is 2 wheel drive with skinny tires. I air down the trailer and truck tires to 10 psi and I drive it in. No problems. Keep your speed up and dont stop until you are pointing back down towards the water. I usually go in about 300 feet or so..... Take a strap just in case. Someone will pull you out.

If you are seeing 4X4 duallys stuck they are a bunch of tourists driving them
