Where to camp in Ocotillo

Hey guys I'm heading to Ocotillo on Friday (10/24-10/27). I usually stay off Cahauilla Trail/78 out by the Cabanas. Where else is there a good place to set up camp that is toy hauler friendly to tow into?

I used to go down there on the south end..... But then I cut 20 minutes (1 way) off of my drive time. I take the 86 then I make a right on the 22. That takes you to the North End of Ocotillo. Then you can drive down about 5 mintues and choose any of the 3 or 4 dirt roads to turn down and camp. It is the same as the South end but it cuts a total of about 45 mintues off of your drive.

You know where I really like to camp Moss is off Wolf Well Rd. just before you get to Holmes Camp. Just before you get to the right hand turn to go to Holmes Camp off Wolfe Well look on the left. We go butt right up to that property line fence so no one can ride behind you and no one really goes in front of you except for on wolfe well road. Its a great spot......

That's where we camp to. There is some great riding just north of the 22. Pole line road is always nice to have to find camp on night rides. Im going to be there Sat Sun on the same weekend. We found a paved circle that we camp at eveytime we go. Its off of the 22 on the edge of the last houses that were built. Left hand side

Never argue with idiots- They just drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Moss, If you go down Wolf Well road, about 1.1 miles in from the 78 there is a big open area off to the right. Great spot there is usually allot of pre-made fire pits, easy to get in and out of. Thats where we camp at about 90% of the time lots of room and great riding area for the kids to keep an eye on.

We usually go down Cahuilla Trail Past the cabana's to Old Commune Trail, Old Commune on the right about 1 mile just past the wash. You dont have to worry about all the people on Wolfe Wells and all the dust during the daytime.

I thought the North side was always blown out and flat. Is this not true? I mean I know there seems to always be wind but I was told the North side is worse. I may give it a try or where Joey said off Wolf Well road
