I Love Vegas(TR)

This weekend I was able to ride both Sat. and Sun., so Sat. we took my rhino to a area that is visible from all areas of Las Vegas..."Lil Red Rocks"
and did some rock crawlin and exploring....

If you look close through the tree branches you can see downtown LV

we had so much fun on Sat. that Sun. we decided to do the "Bittersprings Run"....Ive never done this trail and I've lived here my whole life....its incredibly fun and scenic...both of these trails are within 30 minutes of downtown LV!!!
heres the view at the start of bittersprings trail

as you enter the first canyon you see this

I have to go to work I'll post more later

Bitter spring area is cool, have done several MC races in the area but, never a joy ride.Might have to go before it gets to hot.

We went to Kingman Saturday for some riding.

It's def. worth the drive out there, it was already hot... had to be 90•
I've never done the hualapis(kingman) yet but I will... Hopefully sooner than later.

I have a few more pics to put up when I get back to my laptop... It's to hard to post that much from my phone....

The bittersprings trail was 60 miles round trip

ok heres some more pics from sundays ride....

this damn was a unexpected find...however there was more water below it than above

heres one of the rhino against a massive rock.....first safety stop

here you can see all the slickrock we just climbed through(yes there are sections to go play on all that rock, its our own mini "moab"

heres some crazy shit...these plants grow all over our deserts, Ive NEVER seen one that bloomed like this....theyre were quite a few in this area...no where else did we see it happening....makes you wonder what minerals are in the soils.

after you travel down a sandy wash for several miles and through a coupla "narrows" you get to this mine/house...we couldnt figure out which... its dug like a mine but is a perfect square inside about 8'x8' which made us think it was a house at one time for a miner in the area...

heres a pic of me in the doorway those miners musta been small dudes...I barely fit in the fuckin door let alone livin in the lil box

after leaving the mine you head farther east down the wash toward lake mead...just when your ready to call it a day and turn around(25-27 miles in)you come across the trails namesake "Bitterspring"

another great place to discuss safety...under the shade of a great big cottonwood tree...the only one for 35 miles in any direction???

some more random pics...

the saddle in the middle is where you came from and have to go back to
...it doesnt look that far...but as anyone who has spent any time in the desert knows.. thats a good 15 mile walk just to that saddle your car would be another 12 miles past that.....drive smart!

these are the trail markers...it was well marked except for when it counts...15 miles out in the middle of nowhere

and last one

Thanks for reading/looking if anyone wants to do this let me know...Id be happy to guide it
