equus tach

well i have some ?????'s on one of these tachs ;what setting did everyone use with the inductive pickup clamp??
what is redline for a 660 with a dfr cdi ??
i just wanna make sure i got this right !!!

I think it was the second click in the instructions, I think it comes out as a two cylinder due to the way the ingnition works, mine idles about 1k or so, you should be able to rev no more than 7800 with DFR CDI, I believe,

If your on a hard run and only see 5500-6K then bump it up one click


I can try and locate Doug at Goblin's cell number and he can tell ya for sure though.

Does only rthe Equues tach work or can you us any type?

thanks rog ...i have the instructions and it seems ok but when i stomp on the throttle it revs past the 8000 mark ...hmmmm ??

this is the tach in ??

as far as i know it is the cheapest route other than brp.

It helps in clutch tuning and carb tuning , also since alot of digidashes MPH's are off you can better tell what your motor is doing.

I put the Equus tach on my cart. It's a little rough on the magneto style ignition but it is definately a good tach and works great. For the price I wouldn't use anything else.

It should work just find on the first click for a single cylinder. I have to use the 2nd click because I have a v-twin.

The rhino ignition, messes with the force somehow.

I have been wrong before, cause I was leaning towards the Dark side!! LOL
