Isolator v. Separator

Which is better? I am looking at buying the black rhino kit that comes with the isolator...any reason not to do this? Any better alternatives?

with a isolator it splits the charge in two and charges both batterys at the same time.

a seperator -like the surepower- will first charge the primary battery to a full charge before it contects the two. And it will disconect the second battery from the first if the second gets to low. Meaning you will never have a dead battery for starting you rhino if you have all of your acc on the the second battery. more technogly involved then a isolator.

You put your battery under the seat right? I think for simplicity I would like to keep it in the engine bay. This also allows me to put an amp under my seat.

yep I had a few red tops optimas lying around and just used one of them. Mike got my other one.

i nice battery is an oddsey and if you didnt want to by that mount it is still small enough to fit under the seat and still have an amp under there.

That might work. I am thinking that having it in the engine bay limits the amount of wires I need running back and forth.
