Another head light problem

I was connecting some checker lights and wired my switch wrong and blew something. When I turn on high or low beams, there is no power so the green or yellow wires that go to the head light. I checked the 2 30amp fuses in the battery box and they are ok.
I looked in the manual and there is a lighting system circuit diagram but I don't read that. It shows a main fuse and a lighting system fuse. Are those the 2 fuses in the battery box?

Or what should I check next?

thanks!

did you try and add the lights to the the stock light circut and switch, if you did, and you checked the fuses already, you might have smoked a headlight switch.

I pulled the connector from the switch and turned on the key to check for power. There is a red, green & yellow wire to the switch. I assume the red should be hot with the key on but it is not. So my switch is probably ok right?

In the battery box there are 2 30 amp fuses with plastic covers at the front of the box. It looks like the one on the driver side is just a place holder for a spare?

Is there another fuse in or around there I should check?

Ok, now I found the fuse box & popped off the lid and found all the fuses and the bad headlight fuse. Due to my lack of common sense it takes me a while to figure out these dang elec issues.

thanks!

Now that you found the bad fuse, DO NOT connect them to the headlight switch!!!! add another switch and a relay or two switches, one for each light.

unless he ran em off of a relay and used the headlights to "switch" the relay... right?

whats up with the relay? I have 4 lights and ran 2 switches with 2 lights on each and have no issues so far. Should I run a relay?

Not necessary... it just lets you run more lights with less switches to turn on
