is it a portable model like a sportster or somethin that has a head phone jack, if it can be done with what ever reciever you have, get some speakers, i reccomend SSV an amp and a RCA to 3.5mm adapter and plug that into the amp where you normally connect the deck to amp by rca and run it to the XM controller or an i-pod

The docking station that is sits in for the car has a line out. Im guessing you could use it for headphone or some sort of output. Do i have to have a amp? So go speaker to amp, amp to xm controler? Thaxs for your time mush.

Correct go speakers to a amp then to your ipod/xm transmitter otherwise the music will be real low because your using the ipod/xm to power the speakers

Yeah probably if your just running two 5"or 6" speakers under the dash......I would go with something bigger though, sound quality will be better if you do, I used a 400 watt amp from Wally world it fit right in the glove box no problems

amps are pesonal prefrence everyone has their own favorite, whatever you feel comfortable with buying, you do get what you pay for, and it is only going in a rhino so it may get wet, muddy, sandblasted ect. i was running a 4 channel alpine i took outta of my truck and it did great, but like brian is using a wally world and it works great too.

I run a 300 watt amp and 4 hids and all I did was get a aftermarket battery, You don't have to mess with the charging system necessarily. If i run all my stuff all night like 4 hours of riding and loud music then the hids do go out, just my 2 cents

at some point i am adding 2 batteries and shit just don't have to is what I meant.
