Upgrade elec system?

I just took the rhino out in the night and realized how much I need new lights! I wanted to either replace the stock lights and/or add lights on the roof. I also want to put a stereo in it (nothing crazy just sound). At what point do I need to add a second battery?

i would replace the stock bulbs with a hid coversion first. this makes a HUGE difference .wheelie bar on gd.com has them on sale right now for $100. see how that works and then add more. i have 4 hids, 4 speakers and sub and 600 watt amp. all i did was replace stock battery with a pc 925 oddysey battery.

I'm stayin neutral here, but you DID report kyle's post to admins.
that might work at rf, but not here, not even if johnny asked me to remove
kyle's post would I do it.that is on principal alone.

Well said...

We have SSV Kits on sale this month for the Sand Show.... PM for kit pricing. Also the Battery also the most important upgrade you will need to do after you start adding additional electrical items. If it gets toooo much then an Alternator or Stator would be your next upgrade path. Also a second Battery would work as well.

i run a dual battery set up with 1 stock battery and 1 car battery with a cut off switch ..i have 4 hid's then 2 more in the stock area . and a stereo...works like a charm . run the poss from the current battery to the spare and it will act like a trickle charge then when ur parked and wanna run lights or cd player u take cut off switch out so u dont drain ur stock battery so u can still start rhino at the end of the night
