Changing dash panel

I'm changing the old dash panel to a new digital one. Do I just pull out the little black rubber plugs or does the cap disconnect revealing the contacts underneath?

I figured it out. The whole cap comes off. Now it's simple plug it in and reconnect the battery. WOW! easy upgrade.

All finished. Reconnected the battery. Started the Rhino and all works well. The time is set, the tank reads full, and we're ready to go. Anyone need the light panel we replaced with the new one?

I didn't take before pics and when I tried to add "after" pics using our photobucket urls, I was NOT allowed because I haven't posted 10 posts. So I am wasting some posts to get there.

I didn't take a before photo...so here are the old parts. The gray, white, and black connector caps that you have to remove...and the Blue contacts that you remove from the battery area. Be sure to cover the old open contacts with electrical tape to keep the moisture out.

FINALLY...

I hope you like how easy it is. The hard part was removing the caps on the connectors to plug in the new dash connectors. They were very tight and I began to wonder if they even came off or if I was doing something wrong. The wiring for the new digital is already pre installed. You just have cover the connectors to the old unit once it is removed.

this is a good start for me as I am replacing my 83 old fathers 07 450 rhino with a digital dash also. The sad truth is I cant seem to understand which way to remove the old idiot unit. Is it from the front or back?
additionally is there a UTube video of any of this replacement you rhino guys can share?
any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance!!
