Electrical or chip issue????

I have a 2007, Rhino 450. It has had only minor problems until recently, now there is something strange with what I think is the electrical, hopefully someone can help. I am not sure if this posted in the correct place.

The engine while running will inexplicably drop to an idle. While in this mode the max forward motion is about ˝ mph on level ground and zero up any incline.

First time this happened I promptly replaced the fuel filter and checked the lines. All seemed fine then one week later same thing. I turned off the ignition (couldn’t go anywhere anyway) then an hour later it ran fine.

Two weeks later it worked fine and then had another of these spells, I turned it off, started it 30 minutes later and it was fine, three months later same thing but I found turning it off only five minutes allowed it to reset and work fine.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated I have really lost confidence in my machine
