if you pull the front one, you can take it out 3/4 of the way without doing anything, but to get it out, you need to put a ratchet strap around the passenger side roll bar to the waterneck at the top of the engine.
tighten strap until engine pulls enough to the side to remove.

It starts and runs fine without the belt on. You can watch the clutch move in and out.

your watching the back one right?

the front one also opens and closes a little, did you pull the front off and check out the spring? see if anything is stuck in there.

So with no belt there is no grinding noise? Id also check the spring and make sure nothing is hung up back there.

Yes I was looking at the back one. No belt, no grinding. I think it's internal. Probabaly gonna pull the engine this week. How in the hell do I get this front driveshaft out?

Well I got the motor out today. The next step is to figure out what to do with it. I'm not afraid to tear into it myself. But if I can get the work done for a reasonable price I may go that route. I have the transmission problem and while it's out I want to go ahead and rebuild the top end. I don't have anybody around here that I trust to do any of this work. Is there a good relible shop out there that does bench rebuilds?

Where can I get a repair manual for this Rhino? Or are there any internet shortcuts to a manual? I need something with torque specs and all information need to fix this problem.
