Tuning the Rotax

Hey guys, here is my problem. i have the Rotax conversion, and have done some upgrades, i have a supertrap tunable exaust, new 09 intake, uni filter, and the power commander. i am trying to compensate for the ad ones, i know ia m running lean specially about 1/2 throttle on up well really about 5/8, good hard pull then it flattens out. when watching the RPM's on my laptop. but how lean? i am going to adventually weld a bung on the header and run an o2 wideband to see help tune it. (will do that when MR RPM comes out with his cams).

i have called around all of las vegas and no one has a dyno that a mid travel rhino will fit on. no one will really help me tun it, one guy at a cycle shop said he had a rhino and would help me tune it "by the seat of his pants" type dyno. for $50 an hour, i can do that. so any imput on this from you guys ?

Does anyone know how to get ahold of MR RPM? he might know of where i should be running on the mixtures.

Save the values of where your at right now and go into the fuel value boxes and up the fuel % and get it to blubber (rich) then back them down. You really need the wide band and a friend to ride with you and you can dial it in yourself real easy. If you want call jay at desert dog and he will give you a few tips on it. His # is 602 332 5601.

2nd place is the first loser!!

Were a whole lot faster than you think you are.

Dude, just get someone to weld a bung in each one of your headpipes. Borrow a wideband if you dont have one and tune it. Be sure to tune to your lean cylinder.

But a Widebandcommander from dynojet, tune the A/F ratio to around 13.2 or so and it's done. The A/F ratio I'm talking about, is for N/A motors only, not turbos.

I have a couple of prototype cams that came in today, and am gonna dyno them, with some other stuff, prolly next week, and post results.

I'm waiting on rod bearings right now, as soon as they come in, I'm gonna put it together, and on the dyno. The block is machined, jugs have been finished, everything is here except for the bearings. I thought I had enuf for yours, but I can't find but three!

Want me to post some pics of the block after it has been machined? Or the jugs?
