i'm getting a rattle at low load while driving sound like metal to metal thought it was the clutch took it apart looks normal on the primary couple of roller nylon bushings gone... i'll replace, but sounds loader than that... my frt driveshaft feels tight but the rear i can clunck back and forth by hand
seems a little play about 1/8 in play so i want to take out the rear drive shaft jay made check the u joints what is the easyest way to take it out? and what u joint do i get if worn?

i have another thought when i cut the clutch cover in half i removed the seal and put the half cover back on maybe its the cover bolt washers! i'll cut seal in half so its nice and tight and see if that gets it

Has it always made this noise? My CVT did get alittle noiser after cutting the bottom of the cover. I did return half the seal after cutting it. Also make sure you use lots of grease and check both splins of the rear drive shaft and diff.

is the plastic end cap on rear end, still on the rear drive shaft????

some lose the plastic cap and it will rattle against the nut inside the rotor that holds the input coupler in the diff..

Did you notice it RIGHT after halving the cover? Could be that minor rattle is nature-of-the-beast 800 and with the clutch area more exposed, you now hear the noise. Maybe other swapped machine owners could answer this????LBR
