My Rotax Rhino Is Slow

We just got done swapping out the 660 for a Rotax 800 last night and well I guess I expected more power out of it. It runs perfectly and is faster than the 660 but I can only get about 55mph on the speedo floored and it takes a while to get there, is this all I can expect or? I am running 26" MudLites, was thinking of trying stock tires to get the gearing down some but I really don't want to run those. We will be putting an air/fuel bung in the exhaust tonight and make sure its right since I made the exhaust system, it might not have the back pressure it needs. I haven't actually raced it yet but I'm positive my stock RZR will run circles around it.

What kind of exhaust and air intake are you running,,,,If you don't have a programer, you're running to lean.

I'll post some pics of the intake and exhaust, basically a mandral bent intake tube with the stock air filter. For the exhaust I cut apart the stock exhaust and used a flowmaster muffler and added a tip, I know it sounds kinda hokey but it sounds awesome. I used to run a turbo specialties set up on the 660 that came with a Gibson muffler and it sounded bitchin so...
No programmer either, everything taken directly out of the Renegade...

You're running tooooo lean,,,Teebones56 some what had the same setup as you ,and when I drove it for the first time it struggled to get to 55,and then it picked up after that.I told him to buy a air/fuel gauge and install a PC3,problem solved.Good luck.

Also, what did you do to the CVT/clutch area? The primary/secondary setup is critical for proper performance. If you left it stock Renegade, then a lot can be picked up there. The stock CVT system is setup for 1/2 the weight you now have w/ the Rhino.....big difference to the combination Canam set it up for......LBR
