07 Rhino Starting issues...

Here I am super frustrated again with my Rhino's starting issues. Part of me just wants to sell the thing and buy something fuel injected.

Here's what I've done since buying it brand new 2 yrs ago and I don't have many hours on it at all.

Countless fuel filters and relocated it to the tank top
Yamaha replaced the fuel pump
Second CDI from Dynatek
And emptied tank to get out all of those white shavings
Billet fuel pickup

And still after it's been sitting for a while it takes forever to start, EXCEPT this time. My battery is dead from turning the damn thing over and over again. I know it's getting gas, since I can see it in my fuel filter, just not turning over.

Just a thought...could my spark plug be bad??? If so, where in the hell is the plug?

Thanks guys, I'm just a little pissed right now...can you tell???

Tilt the bed to gain access to the spark plug on the back of the motor....

If you have your original battery you need a new one. The factory battery is only good for about 2 years. Get an Odessey PC925. It is worth the extra money. Some of the aftermarket CDI's are senstive to low power. It may fix your problem. If not try putting the stock CDI back in and see what happens.

Where can I get an iridium spark plug? I hope I can get at that plug without pulling my cage off since my bed don't tilt. I just think that my plug maybe fouled.

I was able to do it without tilting the bed and I have a big arm.....

I pulled some of the plastic out of the way and reached in.... it was a PITA but I got it done.

The bolts that hold the plastic clutch cover on are 10mm I have the same problem with mine if it sits for a while (weeks) Having a good charge seems to help the most, once mine even thinks about cranking slow I throw the charger on it and it fires right up.

"I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled."

"No," she said, "it's just regular porn, you sick bastard."

i think it is an issue no matter what you do, maybe an electric fuel pump might help....
