Question Backfire at shutdown

Noticed that I have a small backfire sometimes like a second after the engine turns off. Sound like that valves need adjusting?

2006 Turbo Rhintax. Magnum offroad longtravel kit, Prp seats, full homemade cage with 4 7" Kragen HID's on the lightbar.

More likely your exhaust. Birefires can be caused by sucking up air from the pipes during decelleration. Check where the two pipes connect, see if you feel exhaust coming from there. If so, you need to replace the gasket that sits inside the pipe that comes off the header. Second place to check would be where the exhaust actually connects to the headers. Check tightness of bolts, and if you feel excess exhaust there, possible replacement of those gaskets. Just did mine, and it was the connector gasket. Also replaced the bracket that holds the two pipes together, as I had lost one of the bolts. While you are in there, check tightness of all bolts that connect the muffler to frame. They can loosen, which increases vibration, which increases wear and tear.

My two cents.

Hmmmm, that might be the case since the only jetting I did for my rhino was when I put the cone style K&N kit I put the bigger jet it came with. I have not compensated for the new exhaust.

Yes

Probably need a bigger pilot jet and maybe bump the needle up a little and change the idle screw setting.
