Drop seat VS non drop seat

Well I had the experience to drive a drop to the floor seat drop rhino today. I can say that I am SO glad I never droped my seat. In the dunes it was extremely hard to see over the hood to judge what the terrian was like coming up next. This may be the HOt set up for racing...but for duning...I dont think it is the right direction.

So for all of you that are pondering it....this is the conclusion I have come up with

They were all the way to the floor? Or like 4-6 inches off the floor? Also did they have the steering wheel adjusted?

Yep dan at Magnum found that out at big G last year also.

IF your gonna do a wild build and drop the seats, then drop the hood also 4-6 inches. Just My .02

Are you all talking about major fabbing and dropping the seats way down, or just the lower seat bases? I saw some basic seat bases that just lower the seats 3". That looks like it would be nice especially for me - I'm 6'2 and would like to sit a bit lower...

The seat mounts on the car I was driving are about 4 inches off the floor. And yes the steering is adjusted. It was actually very comfortable to sit in and drive. But bailin of dune was scarry. I know the terrain at Pismo well and I didnt drive nearly as hard as I normally drive because I couldnt see.

Yes this requires major fab work.

Yep, unless your going to lower the hood and steering I wouldnt go any lower than an aftermarket seat pan.
Really, unless its a racer I dont see why anyone would want to lower a seat to the floor.
