guys with coolers watch out!

glamis patrol has been using your cooler as an excuse to pull you over and check you for a DUI. something none of us want so best advise i can give is don't drink and ride and leave the beer at camp.

I was told that as long as they dont smell beer on your breath, you are not ating drunk, and your coolewr has a strap over it they cannot ask you to open it. Same goes for them entering your trailer or MH. Just like your home........But yes, dont be drunken driving, as for leaving the beer at camp, just dont drunken drive....

I heard they need probable cause to check a cooler, just the same as they would need to check a vehicle.

It is a simple fix just don't bring the beer in the dunes with you. The cops are just doing their job and trying to cut down on the alcohol related accidents, and you know there are a lot of them. Leave the drinking for the evening after you have hung the keys up for the night.

If your gonna drink, leave the toys at camp and catch a ride with a buddy. That's what I do.

Even if you do have beer in your cooler that's shouldn't be an automatic DUI. If that were true I would get a DUI driving my beer home from the store...

To me it seems that a couple of dumb f*cks messed it up for all of the people that like to have a beer or 2 and have fun. I think they are trying to make up for there budget cuts on are dollars and fun which I think is WRONG. I work pretty close with diff agency and I feel this is one way they are bring in funds to there city which benifits them in many diff ways. Might just be my opinion but that's the way I feel

Another good reason to leave your beer at camp......You never know whats going to happen and you just might break a few on the ride.
