Fire rescue UTV

I know it's a Ranger but I thought you fellas would like to see this. My department is looking into buying one of these for us to help in the rescue of downed hikers and such. It's a Ranger 6x6 complete with A/C, an Onan generator,a full light package and a full size gurney. We took it out and it was great, a little slow and top heavy but this one is built for a purpose not for play. It will come in handy for those who like to enjoy the outdoors and may fall victim to an injury. We use a helicopter now but that takes a lot of time, money, and is a lot more dangerous for the patient and for the flight crew. What do ya think?

Very cool, was it scary to drive through the trail since it so top heavy?

"No," she said, "it's just regular porn, you sick bastard."

I was suprised at how stable it felt. I went up the trails it would be used on with 3 up front and 4 in the back. It's the stock 700 EFI no other engine mods. Fully decked out was about $60K give or take a little bit.

Here is a link to several more EMS units. Most use a Polaris 6x6 for the base, but there are also Kubota, Mule and Gator in there.

I would think it would be limited in where it could go with its weight and height. It would seem like a regular truck could go where this thing would go.
