Question oil leak

I have 2008 and it is leaking oil out of the bottom of the stater cover. Pulled it off and changed gasket, but it still leaks. Torque for cover bolts said it was 7.2 ft/lbs. Can I go tighter or is there something else I should do?

i have a 700...so not much help other than checking for a crack in the block or side cover...bolting it up will stress/stretch/bend it open...so may not see it with it off ..

I'm pulling it back off to check. I'll let you know.

Everything went well. It was just a offset gasket. No more leak.

My 08 Rhino 700 only goes 25 mph in high. Is that it? At 25 it sounds like it is at a pretty high rpm. Speed is okay for around the lake, but I was going to use it to drive from my shop to the house. It is about 1.25 miles on 45 mph road.

Any ideas for more speed?

I've got it half throttle at 25 mph. That's all it will do. Doesn't make any difference on pushing down the rest of the way. Actually seems like it just needs to go to another gear. The previous owner rolled it over and I reset the code. Didn't make any difference.

Could there be an exhaust issue? Maybe like too much back pressure?

yes for sure on the exhaust....spark arrester in the muffler tip...mine the previous owner mudded with it it was 95% plugged.. had approx 1/2 hole of the mesh left open...used a can of Yamaha combustion chamber cleaner and let it soak and brush and soak and brush the carbon and mud off it....think one of my other posts may have a pic..yep..got it...

Exhaust is clear. Going to check belt and clutch next. Where's a good place to buy the clutch parts?

Needed belt but didn't help. I think it is a programmable issue.
