2008/2015 Polaris Rhino

Well I got a great deal on a 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 and the next week got a 2008 Rhino 450 with a blown motor. So i really don't need a good 4wheeler. I need a good UTV. So I had this great idea to put the Fuel Injected 570 motor in my rhino. I know it's going to take some slight fab work and I'm pretty good with a welder. My plan is to take the rear Differential off the sportsman with the motor and try to keep the frontend Yamaha. Is this possible or will I have to use the front dif off the sportsman too? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've already got them both tore down today so it's too late to back out now. Lol

Interesting swap...have you verified that the 570 engine rotational direction is comparable with the Rhino diffs?

Lol no but I'm very glad that you said that. I was already planning on using the rear I guess if i have to I'll use the front too. I figured that they. Would be geared differently any way. And i know that the original motor sat in backwards and this 1 is going to be sitting facing the front

It's something to check...

When we put Rotaxs into Rhinos, the engine/tranny combo had to be dropped in backwards for proper operation.

However, there was a Rhino " inexpensive" knockoff back then called the Ruesch... virtually identical to our favored Rhinos, but one guy did the Ruesch swap and had to install his Rotax facing forward like in the quad.
