Nooby question about indicator lights

Hi-
I just bought an '07 660 with less than 300 miles on it. I brought it home and unloaded it in the dark. Of course I had to jump in it for a quick ride. While I was tooling around in the dark, I noticed that more often than not, BOTH the High and Low range indicator lights were on as I was driving. I shifted in an out of high, low, neutral and reverse, but both lights kept coming on. Shouldn't only one of the lights be on at a time? Is this an indicator of a problem? Was I not all the way in gear? Any ideas? I searched this forum and the owners manual and didn't see any mention of this phenomenom. Did I buy a problem?

thanks!

Welcome your indacator switch is probably bad. It is on the driver side at the front of the motor.
