Your advice about rhino

hey

my name is omar from dubai

Guess that some of you knows Dubai

I intend to buy a rhino thank God I found your forums when browsing the Internet searching for information about rhino .
I am confused between the 2009 model or wait for 2010 and I unfortunately did not find any information on the 2010 Model
Question is, do you expect any improvement on the engine or gear box?
And also i want your advice on the most important accessories that must be added or to be replaced in rhino?
by the way , I like roaming in the desert, mountains and camping.

Thanks

hi there i would wait till january.. i am a tech at the local yamaha dealer, also a rhino owner! there releasing the 2010's in jan. no one will tell us what the changes are, some say a 4 seater i have herd also maybe a 550 fi rhino and drop the 450!

as for things the rhino needs off the showroom floor....
I added a sport hard top (off the 700 sport rhino) and a half windshield.. also took the stock tires off and added the ITP TERRACROSS tires... this was the best thing i have added since i bought mine... i do alot of trail riding/camping and just play riping up the woods.. I just got my new KMC full beadloc wheels today and got them on... other then a black rhino cdi box some bumpers and piaa spot lights i really love my rhino! i never did any engine mods i want to keep it as relieable as i can...

I was going to buy a 2009 model, but after a little bit of a sneak peak video I'm going to wait. Looks like a larger engine option and power steering is going to be available on the 2010 models. Looks like a 1,000cc engine. Course that's going to come with an enormous price tag. Yamaha seems to overprice their vehicles especially since you drive a $10,000 vehicle off their lot and now you have a $4,000 vehicle.

dont' buy a rhino, buy a teryx by kawasaki, bigger engine, better suspension geometry, they handle better and jump better and have greater potential with a vtwin motor...I've own 7 rhinos and still own 3, the teryx is a better improvement over the rhino and I think yamaha knows it now finally...

I second that. However, it's so close to the release of the 2010 Rhino, that I'd wait, then compare them all again.

Good luck,
Gil

sorry to burst your bubble, but rhino production is stopped and the rumors of a new design is all bullchit, dealers are selling off what models they have and the lawsuits from low life irresponsible people(mostly registered Blue voters) have haulted production of the rhino as we know it...talk to a dealer, they have no word on receiving anymore new rhinos, my buddy owns a dealership and got the scoop...

if you don't plan on servicing your own "teryx" then i guess there ok... but if you do... good luck... i hate working on ANY kawasaki at the dealership i work at... i have to get out a bucket when i adj valves or put plugs in a kawi... 30 sum pop rivits! and several screws... nah i'll take the seats and center con. out of my rhino and have it all serviced up before you can get the pop rivits out of a kaw... Have u seen the looks of the new teryx... wow.. my dealership isn;t even ordering any 2010... we can;t even GIVE them away.... insteat of ordering teryx's we are ordering kymco's new UTV...hell it runs 47mph stock and comes with full soft cab winch and nice wheels for less monies then any other sxs....

As far as yamaha's stoped production becouse of lawsuits... man you guys need to read up on that... Yamaha just won a HUGH case in tx... and there not building any new 09s.. they want dealers to sell out of 09's that way when they bring out the new ones all the dealers don't have all the 09's on there floor and nobody wants them becouse of the new ones out....

I am recommending the RHINO everything else is just a copy.....

You didn't burst my bubble. Yesterday I talked to an employee at the dealer in Huntsville, Tenn at Brimstone. He says he'll be getting 2010 Rhinos. You are the only person that I have heard say that the Rhino is extinct. And there are pictures of the new Rhinos, I'm sure you've seen them, maybe you haven't.
