11:1 Piston

I have a 700 rhino and i was wondering if i have to replace the valve springs if i drop in a 11:1 piston. I already have a stage 3 cam in. If i have to replace them, is there a good site to go to.

you dont have to replace the valve springs when you replace a piston.

you only have to replace the springs when you replace the cam which you said you already did, so you should have the upgraded springs already.

if you did not replace the springs when you upgraded your cam then its only a matter of time before you float a valve.

Yeah i thought i had to replace the valve springs also but when i called hotcams they said with the stage 3 there was no need to, and i have about 10 trips with the cam in without a problem. But i was thinking about raising the compression and wasnt sure if i had to change the springs when doing that.

checked hotcams website. you are correct, it says you can use the stockers but i still say while you are in there it is a good idea to change the springs.

on a 660 tho it is mandatory that you change the springs when you step up to a stage III.
