Changing rear CV boot

Can anyone help me with the procedure for changing a rear cv boot?
How do i get the axle nut off? It has been bent with a chisel. Ant detailed info would really help. Thanks

I ground a chisel to get in behind it and pry, ( tap with hammer) it out some, then use a good impact gun to remove. when replacing, use red locktite, especially the drivers side ones, they can come loose and you can lose your wheel.

X2 on the good torque gun, I try to use a new nut.

i weged a crow bar in between the wheel studs, and used a socket wrench with a cheater bar, my compressor and impact cant break em.. becarefull not to bend or break your wheel studs tho..

try a larger airline on your gun Chris. I found this out in the dez, same gun I use at home, but small yellow line, it would not budge, larger normal shop line came right off with same little compressor.

I use a snap on 3/4 gun with 1/2 inch air line compressor is set at 225 psi I don't even have to remove the dimple they punch into the nut ..comes right off and then we re dimple it so it wont come off at the beach

THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE FASTER

BUT ONLY A FEW CAN FLY

What size is the socket for the axle nut?

I think 27mm, maybe 30 though

I know 1 1/4" fits it don't know what that converts to
