Exhaust problem

I have a 07' 660 with a single Pro Circuit exhaust took it out last weekend at the river and ran it pretty hard which shouldnt have been no big deal but when i got home i noticed my Exhaust tip was hanging off from what looks like the exaust got hot and just baked the bracket which holds the tip on and the name plate color was even almost white like the exhaust got way to hot? its pretty much ruined but before i buy another one does anyone know what that is from besides heat, did it get too hot for some reason? is pro circuit just a pos? never seen that before?
