backfiring Rhino????

Hi guys- I have a stock 07 rhino 660 with about 1200 miles on it. I have been having the same problem with it for about a year now. I canít seem to figure out whatís wrong with it.
What it is doing while normal trail riding is it will start backfiring real bad(sometimes will die) and runs like it is running real lean. And it wonít let me go very fast but I can usually make it back home just barely! It seems to do it when it is hot after running it for awhile, but Iím not positive that that is the reason for the problem. It seems like it is fuel related still but maybe not.

I have put in a new carb kit, new fuel pump, new fuel line, fuel filter, spark plug, cleaned the carb at least 3 times even though it wasnít very dirty, checked the fuel pickup from the tank. It starts and idles 10 times better, but still the same issue? Any help would be much appreciated. This is getting very frustrating!! Thanks GuysÖ.

the fuel pump might be going out common problem but also make sure you clean that carb for some reason they just get plugged .always change fuel filter too

The '07 carb has a heater located on the bottom side next to the fuel bowl. It might be worth a try to unplug it and see if that makes a differene. It has two wires. A hot wire and a ground. Of course, if you have changed the carb, that may not be the problem. You did not say at what altitude you live. I live at 700' and run a slightly richer main jet than the factory 145. If you live at a higher altitude, you may need to back off on the main jet. When we go to Co. to ride and at about 8500', I down size to a 137.5 or so. You might also dry a different heat range plug. The NGK # is 4929 at a parts house. I have tried different heat ranges and really can't tell much difference. And I guess it is possible you have a coil problem that acts up when it gets hot. May just take a lot more trial and error.
