I have 05 rhino that has a 686 kit and everytime i hit the brakes or gas hard i hear a clunk in the clutch area. I am wondering if this is normal. I also had the drive belt replaced and the guy had removed the grease from the clutch and never put any back in. I was also wondering if anyone has done this. It seems to me that there should be grease in there. Any info would be great. Thanks
ifu installed a after market clutch sheave dry means no grease in it. but if its a factory or machined u need grease in the clutch sheave. noise idk unless a weight came out in the clutch sheave & is rolling around or maybe nothing.
rhino kid - i agree with [U]brad c[U] about the clutch situation. did you replace the belt at the same time because your belt could be hitting the housing causing it to make the thumping noise if it has any wear in it (you can pull the belt housing cover and check for outter belt wear) replace if need be..... my question to you is did you do your 686 kit yourself or did you pay someone to get that installed. if so can you give me pointers on what my next move is because i am very ready to rebuild my motor and would appreciate the advice...
I bought the rhino used. So I am not completely sure what they did when they did the 686 kit. It is a new belt I just had put on a week ago. So I am not sure what all was done when the the motor was rebuilt.
