Do I need to re-jet?

I have an 07 660 and added a rais tube & uni filter and was going to add an exhaust tip. After adding the tip should I re-jet? If so what size?

thanks!

You may want to anyway, they are pretty lean from the factory.

I agree, the tip doesn't give you anymore power either, just more noise

powerplay, I think they are referring to the exhaust TIP. Not the whole exhaust system. I would probably agree that a new tip won't do much for you. I would rather get a new exhaust system.

I don't know how lean they run from the factory, but if they are like most Yamaha's they will be. I would definately go up to a little bit bigger jets after the filter.

before I had my rotax, I had all the goodies on my rhino
dry clutch, 45 mil mikuni, ron wood exhaust and intake.
it ran pretty good, but in a drag race at pismo against chasethistoo
it was pretty much even, chasethistoo's rhino was pretty much stock except for a cdi and k+n intake.
that's why I upped my powerplant to a rotax.

Yeah I had made a spontaneous purchase and bought the tube, filter, pipe & tip all at the same time. After reading up it seems that people with a cdi & sheave are not that much slower than others who spent the extra on the exhaust.

So I decided to just stay with stock exhaust. Now I am getting a custom stereo installed that I was able to barter for so I reckon I shouldn't even put the tip on or may make it that much harder to hear the stereo?

At least the tip is easy, I will put on and see how cool it sounds.
